Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 9 June 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the toolbelt.uk website and, where you become a customer, the website design and hosting services we provide. By using this site or engaging us, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Who we are

"Toolbelt", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the Toolbelt business operating toolbelt.uk. "You" and "your" refer to the visitor or customer. The specific commercial terms for any project are confirmed in the individual quote and order we agree with you, which take precedence over any general statements on this website if there's a conflict.

2. Our services

We design, build, host and maintain websites for trade businesses. The exact scope — pages, features, design theme and timelines — is set out in your quote. We aim to deliver a working site within the timeframe quoted (typically around 14 days from receiving everything we need from you), but timescales are estimates, not guarantees.

3. Pricing and payment

  • Our services are provided for a one-off setup fee plus a recurring monthly fee. Indicative pricing is from £399 setup (during our current launch offer; standard £899) and £79/month; your actual price is confirmed in your quote.
  • The setup fee is payable before work begins unless otherwise agreed.
  • The monthly fee covers hosting, maintenance and the features described in your plan, and is billed in advance.
  • All prices are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
  • If a payment is missed, we may suspend the service until the account is brought up to date.

4. Your responsibilities

To build your site we'll need your cooperation. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate business information, content and any materials we reasonably need in good time.
  • Ensure you own, or have permission to use, any text, images or logos you supply.
  • Use the website and services lawfully and not for anything misleading, harmful or illegal.
  • Keep any account credentials we give you secure.

5. Content and intellectual property

  • Your content remains yours. You grant us a licence to use it for the purpose of building and running your site.
  • Your finished website — once all due fees are paid, the published content and brand assets are yours.
  • Our underlying tools — the platform, code frameworks, templates and systems we use to build and operate sites remain our intellectual property (or that of our licensors).

6. Third-party services

Our sites rely on third-party providers (for example hosting, content delivery and form handling). We choose reputable providers but are not responsible for outages or issues caused by them. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms.

7. Availability

We work to keep hosted sites available and performing well, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may carry out maintenance, occasionally with downtime, and will aim to minimise any disruption.

8. Cancellation and termination

  • You can cancel your monthly service by giving us 30 days' notice in writing. The setup fee is non-refundable once work has started.
  • We may suspend or end the service if you materially breach these terms, including non-payment.
  • On termination, your site may be taken offline. We'll provide a reasonable export of your content on request where fees are settled.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything that can't be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or loss of profit, revenue or data, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here, with the "last updated" date above, is the current one. For existing customers, material changes will be communicated to you directly.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
